Products to Assist Mining
Guar gum is utilized as a flocculant, or settling agent to
concentrate ores and tailings in the mining industry.
Ores and minerals are concentrated by means of a physical
separation procedure in which guar gum plays an important role.
During this ‘beneficiation’ process, ores are concentrated and
settled out so that the water can be reused and the solids
easily handled.
Reducing the time of the settling process of suspended solids
allows for faster filtration which inevitably leads to greater
productivity. |
